hi guys.
i am so proud of all of you.
though we did not win, but deep down in each of our hearts, we are the champion.
although i wasn't part of the competing team, i am really really honored and proud to be part of the Denvers family.
thank you for giving me an opportunity to be part of such an amazing family.
i love you all!

Despite the "shock, disgust, or a both, how about speechless" venue of Cheerobics this year, it was a blast. It was touching watching how much cheer has improved as a whole in Singapore compared to two years ago, watching ex-teammates performing in other uniforms, having supporters, and most of all, it was touching to feel the energy, the hearts and souls of your teammates around you during the performance. I know we all felt it.
Like what Harlis said, our greatest competitor is ourselves, and with respect to that, we're champions in our right (: The feeling after the performance, when we just hugged each other and broke down in tears, is something I've never felt before. I bet its almost the best feeling in the world. (:
I wouldn't have wanted to be part of any other routine in the world, wouldn't have wanted to win any title without my precious teammates. We have shown the world how Denvers can be a friendly, fun and wenxin team and put up an awesome routine at the same time. Even though the results don't show it, I'm sure everybody could see it. It's just the beginning. Let's train harder Denvers (:
I'm proud of my team, I'd say that to anybody. I'm proud of my best captain in the world Harlis who never gave up on us, proud of the small but strong BB and Pam, proud of our four very injured tumblers YQ ZhaoXuan JY Hakim, proud of the fresh and brave top flyer Candice, proud of our girl 2-2-3 shoulderstand bases Zahara and Lilo, proud of the strongest midtiers my watermelon/Barbarella sistur (at the back of the car) Xinyi and myself, proud of my bases Victor Brandan Hakim Wenjie for basing me so well and never scolding me even though I might not be the best flyer, proud of our new but strong members Wenjie and Stanley, proud of our non-competing members who are always there to help and support Melvin Azzy Ashley Yan Souvil, proud of our supportive ex-Manager Ben who's joining us back, proud of all our flyers for staying tight and being brave and last but not least, proud of our bases who I'd say, without which stunts will not be able to go up, always getting injured while trying to save us even though sometimes its our fault for not staying tight or freaking out, for taking care of the girls and sometimes putting up with our pms (hehe) and for being the MEN of the team (:
After this Cheerobics, I've come to realise that there's one thing that money can't buy, that is deeper than BGR love, and that is family ties- the ones we share with our blood family at home, and the ones that Denverites share with each other through the trainings, tears, blood, sweat, criticism, scoldings and whatnot. It's all worth it. (:
Let's go Denvers! We have many more years to go (: |

Way to go Denvers!!
We did our bestest! We trained our asses off! Hard work, sweat, scolding, bruises, pains, sacrifices, injuries, sprained ankles, tears, blood, resulted in joy, energy, heartfelt satisfaction, glory, ASU, and so much more. We worked hard as a family, and we did our best as a family.
All major stunts went up, and looked perfect.
(I just finished watching the video for like the 30th time, and i would just smile to myself whenever i watch it).
Way to go everybody. Pardon my ROBT which made me land on (almost) my face. Bleahx! So unglam.
But to everyone else, WELL DONE!! Denvers Leading The Way, ALL THE WAY!!!
I LOVE YOU DENVERS!!! Thanks to everyone who came down to support us as well. Very very very much appreciated, and photos will all be up really soon.
May we do even better for SKM and own the cheering stage =) |
